Moderator UNICA MAX with powers from 80 to 160 kW is a low-temperature water boiler with upper combustion. The boiler is designed to burn wood and its derivatives (like wood chips) and black coal of nut type. Despite its similar appearance to UNICA and UNICA Sensor it is a model with big changes made in the form of water-cooled hull and grate made out of high quality boiler steel. Fuel loading is done manually from top at a slight angle, ash removal grate is operated mechanical, bottom asp pan door are equipped in standard with a primary air flow flap (in case of power failure). UNICA MAX boiler has an automatic directional airflow into the combustion chamber which consists of primary and secondary air. The air on the way to the combustion chamber is heated up, which has a significant impact on the correctness of the combustion process. Boiler with such power is equipped with an exhaust fan mounted directly on the rear of the boiler exhaust flue vent. The flue duct (is round) and is top directed despite being mounted at rear and can be connected to the chimney in a range of 0 to 180 deg (with eg. the use of an adjustable pipe). The boiler may have an installation connection (return water connector) on the left or right side (a variation allowing a combination of them both is also possible on special demand). Central heating boiler UNICA MAX can be used together with automatic biomass feeder and burner (more widely known as APSB Smok). To ensure the future use of APSB set the mounting side must be selected for the burner opening on the right or left side (or even from the front of the boiler on special request).
Standard equipment of the boiler is a regulator controller with combustion process steering and the possibility of connecting a central heating and domestic hot water pump. The controller automatically stabilizes a preset of the boiler water circuit (central heating) and domestic hot water tank temperature. The controller in addition to his work with pumps also controls a blowing fan and an extraction ventilator. DHW sensor is also included and an exhaust gases temperature sensor for more powerful and smoother aeration (PID regulation with an exhaust sensor (zPID)). The whole steering algorithm is working on an electronic ecoMAX 200 controller from PLUM with the ability to mount a room thermostat ecoSTER 200 panel for easier management and access.
