Central heating steering devices manage the process of production and distribution of heat in a heating system. Boiler controller tasks are to maintain optimal operating parameters to enable economical and clean heating. Providing comfortable heating is not only a maintenance-free operation of a central heating boiler but also keeping the temp. at a constant user-defined level of the temperature settings and maintain it over time.

Basic central heating controllers for hand fired boilers control the central heating pump and the blower fan. More advanced central heating controller versions take control over the boiler feeder and additional pumps (like a circulation pump, floor heating pump) and mixing valves. Some central heating controllers can be extended with an internet network and GSM module for more user control. The most powerful boiler controllers have the possibility of connecting multiple sensors to support the combustion process like the lambda sensor (probe) measuring the oxygen level, weather sensor measuring the outdoor temperature, exhaust gas temperature sensor for the PID algorithm and advanced FUZZY LOGIC steering functions.
