Sonel MRU-200 ground resistance and soil resistivity meter for ground resistance and soil resistivity measurements by various methods. The feature that definitely distinguishes this model from other meters of this kind is the use of all known methods for measuring earth resistance. The measurement can be carried out using the technical 3-pole and 4-wire method, also using additional clamps (multiple grounding), as well as the two-clamp method and the impulse method (ground impedance measurement). The use of the two-prong method makes it possible to perform the test without the use of additional auxiliary probes, which are driven into the ground. The impulse method, on the other hand, is used, among other things, for diagnosing lightning protection grounding. It is also used for measurements of extensive, multiple and connected groundings ( also underground). The advantage of this method is that there is no need to interfere with the circuit. The percussion method allows measurements in accordance with PN-EN 62305 - the need to measure grounding impedance. This is not the end of the extensive capabilities provided by the Sonel MRU-200 meter. The device additionally has the function of measuring soil resistivity, continuity of protective and equipotential connections, and with the use of clamps also leakage or fault currents.
